Techniques will be executed in the basic form (kihon gi). The techniques will be executed at a calm pace. Stance, form of the technique and ukemi are major points that will be observed.
The aikidoka is expected to be well-informed about the dojo etiquette.
Both a deeper understanding of, and experience with ma-ai, as well as timing, control and breakfalls are expected.
