Since 1991 Aikido Club Shi Zen Ryu publishes the magazine "Aikido Nyumon" ("gateway to Aikido"). The magazine is published at least two times per year (summer and winter) in a limited edition, and is a source of information for aikidoka and students of related martial arts. "Aikido Nyumon" consists of articles about the philosophical and historical background of martial arts, gives in each issue explanations and illustrations of several Aikido techniques, includes an Aikido lexicon, and offers an overview of related literature. The magazine is still being developed, and each issue is a new challenge. And although the magazine is published for and by the Aikido Club Shi Zen Ryu (mostly, but not all, in Dutch), it is read by a growing number of aikidoka elsewhere in the Netherlands.
